WHAT DO YOU WEAR?
Dance wear that is appropriate to class being taken.
Refer to uniform requirements.
DO YOU HAVE AN END OF YEAR PERFORMANCE?
WHAT HAPPENS WITH COSTUMES, DO I HAVE TO SEW?
We have them made for you, and to help spread the costs the levy is collected in the second term (not refundable once costumes are ordered). We try to re-use costumes from previous years where possible.  There may be some minor hand sewing and be-dazzling required.
WHAT HAPPENS WITH FEES?
Invoices for fees are emailed and are to be paid by the end of the second week of each term. Fees may be paid by cash / cheque / direct debt or credit cards (Visa/MC). Please note that a bank induced fee of 2.6% will be added to all credit card transactions.
Refunds are not available except for lengthy hospitalisation.
All costs with regards to failed bank transactions will be added to the student’s account.
The Suzanne Swain Dance Academy reserves the right to recover fees or charges incurred for recovery action in outstanding monies.  This will include Debt Collection fees at the rate of 28% of the outstanding amount plus GST.
IS THERE A LATE FEE APPLIED TO LATE ACCOUNTS?
Yes, a late fee of $15 will be applied to all late fees.

DO FAMILIES RECEIVE A DISCOUNT?
Yes, there is a family discount available for students.
DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR MISSED CLASSES?
Yes, fees are worked out over the whole of the term.
Where possible make-up classes are available.
DO YOU OFFER EXAMINATIONS?
Yes, Ballet Australia Limited (B.A.L.) examinations are available
Examinations are not compulsory but are recommended to maintain a high standard of
technique.
ARE PARENTS ALLOWED TO SIT IN ON CLASSES?
No, but parents and friends are invited to view their child’s progress at the last class of the 1st and 2nd term at the Watching Day class.
HOW SHOULD A STUDENT ENTER THE CLASSROOM IF LATE?
The student should always present themselves to the teacher before taking their place in the classroom.

ARE PRIVATE CONVERSATIONS ALLOWED IN THE CLASSROOM?
No, concentration and dedication is demanded in all classes and talking disrupts the natural flow of the class.
CAN I DRINK IN CLASS?
Drink bottles are allowed as water is essential.
CAN I WEAR JEWELRY IN CLASS?
No, for safety reasons.
ARE PHONES ALLOWED IN CLASSROOM?
No mobile phones are allowed in the classroom
ARE STUDENTS ALLOWED TO PHOTOGRAPH OR VIDEO OTHER STUDENTS?
No, for child protection reasons no photographs or videos are to be taken
by anyone.
SHOULD MY CHILD PERFORM IN THE CONCERT?
Please speak with your child’s teacher as to whether they think it will be suitable for our child to dance in the end of year concert.  It is a very long day and younger children may need to consider waiting until the following year.
